Today is May 5. 5/5. That perfect score we’re all chasing.
And that’s exactly why today we’re taking a step we’d been thinking about for a while: declaring May 5 Online Reputation Day. We’ve officially registered it with the National Day Archives to start giving it some weight and open up the conversation. This isn’t a joke, and it isn’t a marketing campaign in disguise. It’s a statement of intent.

Because a review isn’t just an opinion.
A review is how we make sense of what we buy, together — and it’s how the best businesses stand out without spending thousands of euros on advertising.
And for many of them, especially the small ones, online reputation is the best tool they have. The one that lets them go toe to toe with chains and multinationals that spend more on marketing than a family restaurant turns over in an entire year. The one that rewards listening, replying and improving. The one built on real relationships, algorithm-proof.
Today is also a day to celebrate the people who make this work. Spain has a talented and far too quiet sector building, day after day, the best software in the world so that businesses of every kind can keep their reputation under control. Teams like GastroRanking, wiReply, Reply Next, LOCALIZA.ME, tus5estrellas, Opinas, Mapal, RepScan and many others making it possible from right here.
We’re inviting every one of them to celebrate this day with us.
And we’re not going to pretend everything is fine. Online reputation has serious problems: fake reviews, organized fraud, customers who extort instead of help, platform abuse, and European legislation still learning how to regulate this space. The system limps, and sometimes it limps badly. But that’s exactly why we want a day: to put it on the table, so that the debate about how to protect honesty — the honesty of the customer who writes and of the business that receives — stops being a hallway conversation.
We’ve registered May 5 as Online Reputation Day because celebrating what works is also a way of defending it. If you run a business, if a review ever made your week, or if you’re one of those people who reads the reviews before booking a table: today is your day too.
Happy Reviews Day 🌟
