A five-star review is one of the most valuable pieces of marketing a restaurant or local business can have, and yet most of them are left forgotten on Google, never read by anyone outside that platform. At Cinquo we don’t think it has to be that way: if a customer took the time to write something nice about your business, that comment deserves a second life on your social media. That’s why, right from the reviews panel, you can turn any review into an Instagram story or post ready to share.

How it works

The process is designed to fit into your day without getting in the way. While you’re going through your reviews in Cinquo — filtering by date, by reply status, or simply sorting by the most recent — every review carries a small Instagram icon next to the customer’s name.

Tapping it opens the “Share your best reviews” screen, where the review’s text, its star rating, and the name of the person who wrote it are already laid out on a card designed by Cinquo.

From there you only have two decisions left. The first is the format: story or post, depending on where you want that content to live. The second is the card’s background color, which you can adjust with a simple slider or choose from several preset tones so it matches your business’s visual identity.

In the top-right corner you’ll find more filters to further customize the image’s content.

As soon as you tap “Share,” Cinquo takes you straight into Instagram’s native story editor, with the card already placed over your own background photo or video. From there you can add music, a sticker, or extra text just like you would with any story, and publish it to your profile or to “Close Friends” with one last tap.

The whole process, from seeing the review in the panel to having the story live on Instagram, is done in under a minute.

Why it’s so easy

What would normally require opening a design app, cropping a screenshot, and laying out text so it looks right in a vertical format is handled here without ever leaving Cinquo. There’s no need to think about fonts, sizes, or composition: the card comes already designed, with the rating and other elements clearly built in.

There’s no need to take screenshots or crop them by hand either, a step that often leaves cut-off edges or unreadable text. And since the integration is direct with Instagram, there’s no image to download and no more than one app switch: Cinquo prepares the content and Instagram itself handles publishing it.

Why it’s such great content to post

Beyond the convenience, sharing real reviews has a value that no in-house designed content can match: social proof. A potential customer who sees a real review on your profile — with a name and a star rating — from someone else who enjoyed your restaurant trusts that opinion more than any promotional line you could write yourself. It’s content generated by your own customers, which makes it more authentic and more credible in the eyes of whoever sees it.

It’s also content you don’t have to invent. In a content calendar where it’s always hard to come up with new ideas, having a five-star review ready to turn into a story gives you a complete post without needing a photo shoot or a caption written from scratch. And since it uses your own background photo or video, the story still carries your visual identity, while the review supplies the message.

Finally, this kind of content tends to build more closeness with your community: showing that you value and celebrate what your customers say strengthens the relationship with people who already know you, and encourages those who haven’t yet decided to try your business. It is, in short, free marketing built on trust you’ve already earned.

Next time you check your reviews in Cinquo, take a look at that five-star one you’ve been meaning to share. With a couple of taps, it can be on your Instagram in less time than it took you to read this paragraph.
